- First, we have to make sure the site works smoothly on everything from phones to desktops – because let’s face it, there’s nothing worse than a site that breaks on mobile devices.
- Then there’s speed, if pages take forever to load, visitors will bounce and it will negatively affect both user experience and Google search rankings. Ideally, all requests should take less than 200ms but anything up to 500ms is acceptable.
- Lastly, the accuracy of the data, service or the provided information is critical. For example, I’m launching findyouragent.ai, a directory of AI agents. When you’re helping people find the right AI tools, you can’t afford to have outdated or wrong information as that is the core reason people visit your website.
