Another client, with zero engineering work, had us re-order the results of a knowledge-base with an embedding model and lowered their support tickets 11% in a week.

The throughline for both clients is the AI took “trivial” knobs (i.e. timing, ordering, copy length) and optimised them into a scalable win because it was mining entirely irrelevant signals that humans ignore.

I would advise to dupe all the instrumentation at the edges because you can prove any minor/pageable parameter is testable, just as you could to run continuous micro-tests (Bayonian and bandits), and run a weekly “odd findings” check-in to make sure as many non-obvious wins get into production.
