In my experience you mostly notice AI writing when it is lazy and bad.

If you actually take time to learn about a subject and then feed the AI with prompts about things that it missed and then correct AI when it is wrong your results will be far better.

All of this takes time and effort.

There are no quick fixes yet, but my tips would be starting with being a prompt engineer. By asking AI to ask you questions to improve the prompt, then the first draft will be better, and much more human-like. Then tweaking it to give it your voice will make it feel more human.

To make sure our content resonates with our customers, I try to vary sentence structure. Mixing up how I write keeps things interesting and less robotic.

Engaging with real experiences is also key. Sharing real stories from our plumbing, heating, and cooling jobs helps connect with our audience, as people appreciate authenticity. I avoid repetition by not using the same words or phrases too often, which helps keep our content fresh and engaging.

Adding a human touch is essential. I always aim to write as if I’m talking to a friend, making our messages feel more personal and relatable.

Humans are becoming increasingly good at recognizing AI-generated content.

However, by using AI to create the structure of the article such as paragraph titles and subtitles, and then rewording the content and sentence make-up using the AI generated content as a guide, you can create a more human tone, and avoid showcasing AI markers.

By using AI as a way to generate the structure rather than the content, you can better hide your overall use of AI and create more interesting content in the process.
