It’s common to think that your domain should be your company name, but this isn’t the case and most people won’t ever really notice the domain, but it’s an easy thing that can return some quick traffic by driving relevance.
Loading speeds are another big factor here. When you build out your website, it’s easy to get so caught up in design that you can quickly bog down your site with too many plugins and clutter.
Keep the site functional and simple, driving customers towards your relevant end goal. A functional site that is easy to navigate will convert a lot more people than a “pretty” website that takes forever to load every time you click something.

There are way more than three, and off-page is so important. But ok, let’s start with three important things…
Sitemap – you’ll need this for search engines to even find you. You might be discovered anyway, but this ensures proper indexing – but only if you submit it. Go to Google Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools to submit the sitemap.
Appropriate meta titles and descriptions on every page. Don’t over-optimize for one keyword unless it makes sense to do so. What do users expect to see? How could you write it slightly differently to increase interest? It really depends on your niche. But you don’t want search engines to automatically grab text from the page. Manually create your meta titles and descriptions.
Fast loading. Host your website on a high quality server. Don’t use shared hosting if possible; that results in a slower site. You can also use caching and asset optimization to help with load times as well. Also, when building the pages, think about speed. Do you really need all those animations? Make sure you upload the largest sizes images you actually need, and no larger. All these things add up and contribute to page speed.
